Illinois Launches The Children’s Behavioral Health Transformation Initiative
On March 18, 2022, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker announced the launch of an initiative—the Children’s Behavioral Health Transformation Initiative—to improve behavioral health services for children. The goal of the initiative is to evaluate and redesign the delivery of behavioral health services for children and adolescents in the state.
The initiative is a coordinated, inter-agency approach between the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS), and the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (DHFS).
