SAMHSA Releases Grants To Fund New—Or Expand Current—Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics

On March 24, 2022, the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) released two funding opportunities to expand the number of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs). A total of $312 million per year is available in grant funding for the next four years. SAMHSA expects that the funding will go to applicants focused on communities with health disparities. There are two types of grants available:

Planning, Development, and Implementation (CCBHC-PDI) grants: Up to $1 million per grantee per year is available for up to 156 organizations for planning to create new CCBHCs.
