Delaware Launches ‘CostAware’ Website To Compare Health Care Claims Costs

The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) launched a new website called "CostAware" to help residents understand  health care costs. The site compares the variation of average paid claims costs for different episodes of care and medical services. It presents the data by payer: commercial insurers, Medicare, and Medicaid. The site also breaks down the average monthly cost of care for each member of an accountable care organization (ACO)and the top procedures for several age and gender groups based on overall volume and dollar volume.
