Rebuilding Leadership ‘From The Inside Out’: The Project Transition Case Study
Success relies in large part on an executive team with a well-defined list of mission-critical skills. The top required skills include leadership and strategic planning, financial management, business development capabilities, information and technology management, and the strategic management of operations and human capital. Health and human services organizations often struggle with fragmented leadership, unclear communication, and cultural misalignment. The solution can require strategically overhauling the executive corps, resulting in a high-performing, value-driven leadership team.
During this one-hour live presentation, Project Transition chief executive officer (CEO) Luke Crabtree and President Dr. Stacey Dixon will share how they restructured their leadership “from the inside out,” to execute a high-performing, mission-driven leadership model.
Hands-on advice and guidance will include how Project Transition embraced radical transparency, built a servant leadership model, and implemented planning tools like ARCI (Accountable, Responsible, Consulted, Informed) matrices, LEAP (Leadership Effectiveness and Potential) assessments, and strategic “rocks” to sustain long-term performance.
Executive attendees of this session will learn how Project Transition:
- Redefined leadership accountability by splitting CEO and operational roles
- Simplified and realigned its core values to drive culture change
- Used performance-based bonus structures to reward teamwork—not titles
- Created “3-deep” layers of expertise to ensure continuity and succession
- Elevated overlooked staff into top-performing leadership positions
