Adtalem To Acquire Walden University From Laureate Education

On September 11, 2020, Adtalem Global Education announced it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Walden University, an online health care education provider, for $1.48 billion in cash from Laureate Education, Inc. With the addition of Walden University, Adtalem will have 26 campuses across 15 states and four countries; it will serve more than 90,000 students annually. It provides comprehensive workforce solutions to employers through a variety of learning modalities.
