Allina Health Partners With Optum On Surgery Centers

Allina Health system has entered into an agreement with Optum, the health services division of Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth Group, that could open up to a dozen ambulatory surgery centers over the next five years. Minneapolis-based Allina did not release financial terms of the agreement, which was finalized in December 2019. Plans call for Optum to begin managing Allina’s surgery center at the West Health medical campus in Plymouth in February 2019.
