Allscripts Expands Real-Time Messaging In Ambulatory EHR Systems

Allscripts recently announced it is expanding its real-time messaging in ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) systems. The affected systems will include Allscripts’ ePrescribe, Professional EHR, and TouchWorks EHR solutions. Allscripts anticipates that it will be able to assist provider organizations in improving patient adherence to medications and provide real-time access to medication financial assistance by providing prescription data in its ambulatory EHR systems.
