Cheyenne Hospital Regains Medicare, Medicaid Status
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center announced that it regained its Medicare and Medicaid status. The hospital had previously lost its standing with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services due to a complaint.
The hospital's federal certification was revoked after the Wyoming Department of Health took issue with the way hospital had discharged a blind consumer. Operational oversight of the hospital was temporarily handed over operational to the Department. That certification has been restored, now that the hospital has released its plans to improve its discharge process for consumers with behavioral health issues.
