Clinic From Allegheny Health Network Expands Access To Health Care & Social Services For Individuals Released From Incarceration
The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Center for Inclusion Health launched an innovative clinic aimed at more rapidly, effectively, and compassionately supporting the health and well-being needs of individuals following release from incarceration. The ‘Rethinking Incarceration and Empowering Recovery’ (RIvER) Clinic helps individuals released from jail access and coordinate health care and other social services. Since opening in the spring of 2021, the RIvER clinic has engaged with more than 200 individuals.
