EHN Canada has added Gateway Recovery Centre to its network of behavioral health treatment facilities. Gateway’s programs are designed to treat mental health, trauma, and addiction disorders among military, veterans, first responders, and frontline health care workers.
Several treatments have been incorporated into Gateway’s programming that target moral injury and its core components. Moral injury is the distressing psychological, behavioral, social, and sometimes spiritual aftermath of exposure to traumatic events. In traumatic or unusually stressful circumstances, people may perpetrate, fail to prevent, or witness events that contradict deeply held moral beliefs and expectations. Individuals may also experience betrayal from leadership, others in positions of power, or peers that can result in adverse outcomes.
EHN Canada is the nation’s largest network of mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment facilities. It has locations across Canada and a clinic in the United States. Outpatient clinics are located in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Victoria, and Nanaimo, Canada; an outpatient clinic is also located in Seattle, Washington. Residential facilities are located in Toronto, Ontario, and Nanaimo, British Columbia. EHN Canada also provides Wagon, an online outpatient clinic that provides programs and services through secure video-conferencing technology.
