Geisinger & Highmark Health Open New $100 Million Hospital In Pennsylvania

A joint venture between Geisinger and Highmark Health opened a $100 million, 20-bed hospital, Geisinger Medical Center Muncy, in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The hospital serves the Clinton, Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga County region.

The 120,000-square foot, three-story facility includes an emergency room, clinical decision unit, intensive care unit, surgical suites, and primary and specialty care areas. The 20 inpatient beds are in rooms with smart TVs displaying a digital whiteboard with real-time health information to enhance consumer communication and better coordinate care.
