HealthCare Partners Begins Transition To Optum Network
HealthCare Partners has begun its transition to the Optum network in the San Fernando Valley. HealthCare Partners, with corporate offices in El Segundo, California, announced the acquisition in May. Minnesota-based Optum bought DaVita Medical Group, which owns HealthCare Partners, in June of last year for $4.3 billion.
With the addition of HealthCare Partners, Optum’s network serves 1.4 million consumers across Southern California; HealthCare has served the region for 30 years. Provider organizations, clinic locations, health insurance plans, and copayments are not affected by the transition.
