Hendrick Health Finalizes Acquisition Of Abilene & Brownwood Regional Medical Centers

Hendrick Health in Abilene, Texas, acquired Abilene Regional Medical Center and Brownwood Regional Medical Center and their associated health care operations from an affiliate of Community Health Systems, Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The newly acquired facilities will be rebranded. Abilene Regional Medical Center is a 231–bed facility in Abilene. It will be rebranded as Hendrick Medical Center South. Brownwood Regional Medical Center is a 188-bed hospital in Brownwood. It will be rebranded as Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood.
