Northwell Proposes Construction Of North Shore Behavioral Health Center In Mineola, New York

Northwell Health proposed constructing a new behavioral health facility, North Shore Behavioral Health Center, in Mineola, New York, to facilitate a strategic partnership for mental health services with the Minneola school district. The Mineola Board of Education received the proposal at its February 25, 2021, meeting. The projected cost to the school district is $78,000.

Northwell Health’s vision is for a continuum of school mental health services, from preventative programs for all students to medical interventions for high-risk students. Northwell Health would collaborate with the school district to provide staff training and parent education.
