The Ohio Department of Medicaid proposed a 6.1% increase in reimbursement rates for home- and community-based services including home health nursing, aide, and therapy services and private duty nursing services. The proposed increase takes effect for dates of service on or after November 1, 2021.It applies to services provided through fee-for-service and the managed care delivery system.

On August 6, 2021, the ODM Bureau of Long-Term Services and Supports, HCBS Policy Section issued a notice to Medicaid provider organizations about the proposed rate increase. The increase requires amendments to two rules:
