On August 7, 2020, Prattville Baptist Hospital broke ground on its new 22-bed $6.5 million Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit. The unit will provide inpatient psychological and behavioral care for older adults diagnosed with mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, and psychotic and thought disorders. The unit is slated to open in 2021.

Prattville Baptist Hospital is an acute care, 85-bed community hospital, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
