Roche Expands In Personalized Medicine Oncology With $1.9 Billion Purchase Of Flatiron Health

Roche recently completed a $1.9 billion acquisition of Flatiron Health (Flatiron), expanding the company’s presence in personalized medicine and oncology. Roche will now have access to Flatiron’s software suite, including OncoEMR, OncoBilling, and SeeYourChart.

Roche anticipates that the purchase will help accelerate its development of, and access to, new cancer treatments. Flatiron’s software suite will offer assets such as clinical and business insights, electronic medical record (EMR) and workflow software, and the ability for provider organizations to share laboratory tests and other data directly with consumers.
