Sempre Health & UPMC Health Plan Expand Program That Improves Affordability & Adherence For Critical Medications

Sempre Health (Sempre) and UPMC Health Plan (UPMC) are expanding their collaboration to improve affordability for vital medicines. The new efforts will focus particularly on medication adherence.

Specifically, Sempre and UPMC will be making additional medications available to more consumers and product lines as part of their medication adherence discount model. Through these efforts, health care consumers will be able to receive discounts on medications for completing actions such as refilling their prescriptions on time. This helps to benefit both consumers and provider organizations, as non-adherence to medications often strongly affects health outcomes.
