Sentara Healthcare In Virginia To Merge With Cone Health In North Carolina

On August 12, 2020, Sentara Healthcare, in Norfolk, Virginia and Cone Health in Greensboro, North Carolina signed a letter of intent to combine organizations. Both are regional, community-based health systems. The combined organization is subject to state and federal regulatory review and customary closing conditions and is anticipated to close in mid-2021.
