Walmart selected the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system to support all of Walmart’s health and wellness lines of businesses. The first rollout of the Epic EMR will be in four new Walmart Health Centers opening in Florida in early 2022. The Epic system will be implemented across all Walmart health care offerings. Cheryl Pegus, M.D., executive vice president for Walmart Health & Wellness, said, “The Epic system complements our omnichannel health care offerings – letting customers and health care professionals access care and health records to lead to more personalized care.”
