Starting January 25, 2021, Walmart will begin offering vaccinations for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in seven states: Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Texas. Walmart has already been administering vaccines in stores in its home state of Arkansas as well as in New Mexico. Vaccinations will also be available at Walmart locations in Chicago, Illinois, and in Puerto Rico.
The vaccines will be administered at Walmart pharmacies to groups that state health officials have prioritized. During the expansion, Walmart will offer vaccines seven days a week during pharmacy hours. At full capacity, the retailer anticipates delivering 10 to 13 million doses per month when supply and allocations allow.
This was reported by Walmart on January 22, 2021.
