WellSky, a global health and community care technology and services company, launched WellSky Extract for Home Health, a new tool that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to extract key information from consumer-related documents and pictures of drug labels to populate data into the electronic health record (EHR). The tool is intended to reduce manual documentation time and ensure that medication information is transferred accurately. Early adopters of WellSky Extract have reported that the tool reduced the time spent on medication reconciliation to eight minutes, a 60% reduction of the industry average.
