What I Learned Last Summer After a summer filled with record-breaking heat and humidity, it's finally beginning to feel like autumn here in Pennsylvania. The weather has cooled down, the days are getting shorter, schools (and the Supreme Court) are back in session, and orchards and farmer's markets are selling apples and pumpkins. But before we can embrace all of autumn's possibilities, I'd like to take a good hard look at everything we learned during an exciting—and trying—summer of 2011. It was a period that has brought far more uncertainty than clarity . . .
