This month we are looking at the I/DD market – and one of the big influences on that market is the Medicaid system. Medicaid pays for both medical services for consumers with I/DD, and also for long-term services and supports (LTSS). Assuming a consumer with I/DD is eligible for Medicaid, they are likely to receive two separate sets of services through two different delivery systems: Medical Services – The medical delivery system is responsible for providing physical health, behavioral health, and pharmacy services.
