There is one more vote for standardizing of service delivery – the Institute of Medicine (IoM). On the IoM released their new report, Best Care at Lower Cost: The Path to Continuously Learning Health Care in America. The IoM committee that developed the report was focused on how to speed the widespread adoption of innovations and improvements in the U.S. health system. They lay out the issues at the opening of their report:
