By Monica E. Oss November 5, 2011 Back in September, we looked at the Medicaid Audit Program Final Rule , which is modeled off the Medicare Recovery Audit Program . Beginning on January 1, the Medicaid Audit Program will pay independent auditors for tracking down and recovering improper Medicaid payments in an attempt to save $2.1 billion in waste over the next five years (see Are You Ready For More Audits? all members).
