Almost a quarter (24%), 63 million people, in the U.S. serve as a family caregiver. Of these, 59 million caregivers report caring for adults ages 18 and older, and 4 million report caring for a child under age 18 with an illness or disability, according to a new report—Caregiving In The U.S. 2025 Research Report.;Most of these caregivers, 40%, live with their care recipient.
