With clinician burnout levels hovering at 40%, the challenge for managers and supervisors is what to do about it. Recent research – Potential Agency & Supervisor Solutions To Address Burnout: Insights From Clinicians In Community Mental Health (CMH) Agencies Across Washington State – provided some options based on interviews with workers in community mental health organizations.
Six types of strategies were identified by the research: client-related, structural support, team functions, emotional support, supervisor non-emotional support, and self-care.
