The for-profit mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the behavioral health field (mental health, addictions, autism, and I/DD) are holding steady. There were 42 transactions in the first quarter of 2024, according the recently released report Q1 2024 Behavioral Health M&A Report. This activity level was similar to the pre-pandemic period—but a drop from the high-volume period in 2021 and 2022.
