There are more Medicaid enrollees post-pandemic—total Medicaid/CHIP enrollment grew to 81 million in February 2021, an increase of 9.8 million consumers, or nearly 14%, from enrollment in February 2020 (see Analysis Of Recent National Trends In Medicaid & CHIP Enrollment). With the disparities in the health care system, COVID has had a disproportionate effect on Medicaid beneficiaries.
