Primary Care Payment Evolves
The June announcement of another Medicare initiative for value-based primary care was no surprise. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced plans to launch a multi-state initiative called “Making Care Primary Model” (MCP) in Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, and Washington (see CMS To Launch Eight-State Value-Based Primary Care Initiatives In July 2024).
