The Medicaid Moving Target

Current (and future) Medicaid enrollment is a key market metric for most health and human service organizations. According to the most recent data—Medicaid Enrollment And Unwinding Tracker—as of June 2025, there are 77.7 million people enrolled in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) nationally—70.5 million in Medicaid and 7.2 million people in CHIP.
