In January of 2023, the federal government changed the rules for prescribing buprenorphine.;The new rules increased the cap on the number of consumers using buprenorphine that an individual prescribing clinician could have in their practice and eliminated some training requirements (see;Feds To Ease Regulations Affecting Access To Opioid Addiction Treatment).
