The adoption of whole person care approaches and the need for integrated care strategies continues to rise—organizations have seen the writing on the wall. Recent data show that 79% of all antidepressant medications and 45% of all antipsychotic medications are prescribed by a primary care physician. Medicaid behavioral health benefits are moving away from “carve out” models towards integrated care.
