Minneapolis, Minnesota-based Bright Health (Bright) recently announced it plans to begin selling Medicare Advantage Plans in the state of New York for 2019. The plans are currently pending approval from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Should the plans be approved, Bright’s New York network would include Mount Sinai Health System hospitals and clinical professionals. Bright, which has raised $240 million in venture capital, fosters an easy flow of information among clinical professionals by offering tools that help to predict out-of-pocket spending, as well as by keeping a close relationship with provider organizations.
