Smartphone Wellness Application Market Value To Triple by 2016

The wellness mobile application market, which includes all well-being, health, fitness, and sports apps, will nearly triple in value between 2010 and 2016, from $120 million in 2010 to over $400 million in 2016. Much of that growth will be spurred by the ability of mobile handsets to easily connect to wearable devices that in turn can deliver new functionality and accuracy to sports and fitness applications.
