Health Reform Not Expected to Increase Health Insurance Premiums

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News The Senate’s health reform package, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) which passed on December 24, 2009, is not expected to increase the cost of annual health insurance premiums. The greatest cost increase by 2016 will affect the 32 million people in the non-group market who purchase coverage individually in the proposed insurance exchanges or in the individual insurance market outside the insurance exchanges.
