ResCare Acquires Northview Developmental Services in Kansas

January 15, 2007 ResCare Acquires Northview Developmental Services in Kansas On December 13, 2006, ResCare Kansas acquired Northview Developmental Services, Inc. (NDS) in Newton Kansas. The agreement includes assets associated with NDS services as a community service provider but does not include vehicles, properties, and real estate which will remain under NDS ownership. The terms of the arrangement were not disclosed. The move occurred after the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) revoked NDSÂ’ operating license on September 30, 2006, because the facility had been cited for 50 confirmed cases of abuse and neglect over 2005-2006.
