Physician Practice EHR/HIT Adoption Rates Doubled Between 2008 & 2010
Between 2008 and 2010, the number of physician practices implementing a basic electronic health records system (EHRs) doubled, from 16.9% in 2008 to 33.8% in 2011. In 2011, 52% of physicians reported intending to apply for meaningful use incentives, up from 41% in 2010.
