Unpaid Caregivers of Elderly Get Needed Support Through the Alliance for Aging
More than 7 million people are unpaid caregivers (e.g. spouses, adult children, other relatives and friends) for 4.2 million older people living in the community. Through new funding from the Federal Administration Aging called, the National Family Caregiver Support Program, the Alliance for Aging announced that it has started funding local agencies to provide services to these caregivers. The services are provided throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe counties in Florida.
