February 14, 2005 CMS to Increase Medicare Payment Rates by 3.1% for Long-Term Care Hospitals On January 28, 2005, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a proposed rule that would increase the Medicare payment rates for long-term care hospitals by 3.1% for discharges on or after July 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006.
