OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News AT&T is approaching trial stage in development of a home-based health monitoring service that combines Wi-Fi for videoconferencing and a ZigBee-based wireless network for devices to transmit patientsÂ’ data to their health care providers. Devices under development include thermometers, pill dispensers, blood-pressure monitors, and pulse oximeters. The device prototypes were on display at a September 2008 tradeshow.
