Oregon State University Develops Inexpensive Postage Stamp-Size Biometric Monitoring System
Researchers at Oregon State University have developed a new inexpensive technology system to monitor biometric vital signs with tiny electronic sensors small enough to fit on a microchip the size of a postage stamp. The microchip monitoring sensors cost less than 25 cents to make, and can be manufactured in high volumes. The system can be used to monitor pulse rate, heart rhythms, brain signals, physical activity, perspiration, and temperature.
