February 21, 2005 Horizon Health Corporation to Enter into Joint Venture for Operation of Friends Hospital On February 9, 2005, Friends Hospital announced that it has signed a letter of intent to form a joint venture with Horizon Health Corporation for the operation of its psychiatric care hospital in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania). The proposed joint venture will continue to operate the facility and conduct its business and clinical relationships under the name of Friends Hospital.  As part of this transaction, the Thomas Scattergood Behavioral Health Foundation charity will be established to continue with the mission of Friends.
