February 25, 2002 Florida May Revoke Licenses of Six HMOs The Florida Department of Insurance sent out consent orders in February 2002 to six HMOs that allegedly did not comply with a law that requires them to reimburse health care providers within 35 days. J. Steve Roddenberry, Deputy Director of the Department would not disclose the names of the HMOs. The consent orders were sent on February 15, 2002, and the six have until March 15, 2002 to respond.
