California Health Care Providers Request Review Of 10% Medi-Cal Cut
On January 28, 2013, the California Medical Association (CMA) filed a request for an en banc review by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to stop the State of California from implementing a 10% cut to Medi-Cal provider organization reimbursement rates. In December 2012, a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit had ruled in CMA et al. v. Douglas et al., that the state could move forward with the Medicaid rate cuts, which had been passed by the legislature in the spring of 2011.
