February 26, 2001 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to Deliver More At-Home Volunteer Services to Elderly and Disabled The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation announced in February 2001 that its Faith in Action Program will spend up to $100 million over the next six years to develop 2,000 new interfaith programs to deliver services to the elderly and disabled. The plan is to send tens of thousands of volunteers each year into the homes of people who need help getting to the doctor, arranging home repairs, paying bills or shopping for groceries.
