Ohio Medicaid Rebids Managed Care Contracts With New Pay-for-Performance Methodology
On January 11, 2012, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODFJS) released a request for applications (RFA) to rebid its Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) contracts. The new contracts will include pay-for-performance aspects that reward the MCOs for providing care coordination and management. The new contracts will reduce the number of service regions from eight to three; and offer beneficiaries in each region a choice of up to four plan choices.
