Health Care Mergers & Acquisitions Down Seven Percent in 2009

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News In 2009, there were fewer health care mergers and acquisitions than in 2008. The 2009 total of 932 health care transactions represented a seven percent decrease from the 1,001 transactions in 2008. The total dollar volume of the 2009 transactions was $232.9 billion, a three percent increase from the $226 billion in 2008.
