March 6, 2006 Only 13% of Medicare Part D Enrollments Represent Previously Uninsured People with Medicare Of the 24 million enrolled Medicare Part D subscribers reported by the Federal government, only 13%, 3.2 million, previously had no prescription plan coverage. Government enrollment data does not reflect that some enrollees had some prescription coverage because they were dually Medicare and Medicaid eligible, or were enrolled in a Medicare private health plan that provided some drug coverage.
